Connecting with Indigenous Grandmothers
Over the years I’ve had the joy and privilege of being connected with various Indigenous Grandmothers who are committed to the sacredness of all beings and offer their wisdom and teachings globally.
Great Grandmother Mary Lyons is Ojibwa from Minnesota, Grandmother Moetu-Taiha, Grandmother Elia, and Grandmother Hato Siskin are from the Māori tribes of New Zealand, Grandmother Flordemayo is Mayan from New Mexico, Grandmother Percy is Hopi from Arizona and Grandmother Devi is Sufi from Seattle.
Although they come from many lands, they are bound together by a common desire to bring love, joy, and harmony to all whose paths they cross.
Over the years they have traveled together leading gatherings, ceremony, teaching and sharing their message with thousands. They have traveled to New Zealand, Europe, and throughout the United States. They have been invited to meet with many tribal elders, the Parliament of World Religions, Omega Institute, the March for Climate Change, Fetzer Institute and other spiritual centers around the world.
I have been fortunate to have traveled with the Grandmothers on sacred journeys and have hosted them three times in Michigan. During their time here in Michigan they have done many public engagements, spiritual retreats, individual healing sessions and shared their sacred ceremonies and rituals.
Time in their presence is truly profound and connects all who attend to the sacred beauty within their own hearts - the energy which unites us all.
